It happens in so many different seasons of life—having a baby, changing careers, stepping into a new phase, or even just that moment when you realise your old style doesn’t match the person you’ve grown into.

Why Do Life Changes Mess With Our Style?

Because style isn’t just about fashion—it’s about who you are and how you feel.

When big shifts happen in life—like:

  • Becoming a mum and realising your pre-baby wardrobe doesn’t work anymore.
  • Hitting a phase where events (weddings, work functions, special occasions) suddenly feel overwhelming to shop for.
  • Moving into a new job or role where you want to look polished but still like you.
  • Entering midlife and wondering What even suits me anymore? Women who have recently gained or lost weight but feel completely lost in their new shape—worried about dressing too young, too old, or just not knowing how to feel confident in their body again.

And I completely understand why these transitions feel so hard—because style is personal. It’s not just about clothes; it’s about how you feel in them. And when your body, life, or confidence shifts, your style needs to shift with it, because what worked before might not work now—but that doesn’t mean you can’t feel stylish, put together, and confident. It just means you need a new approach.

I recently worked with a client, who had just gone back to work after maternity leave. She told me she was standing in front of her wardrobe every morning feeling frustrated. Nothing fit quite right, and everything she used to wear before kids suddenly felt wrong.
